The SurePass meter reads how ready you are, in three words:
Building — you are covering ground. Keep practising.
Getting close — you are in range.
Ready to sit — your work says you are prepared.
It is a status, not a percentage
The meter never claims a chance of passing, and it never will. Telling you a percentage would be asserting that of a hundred people shown that number, that many pass — and proving that needs real exam results from hundreds of learners. It is an honest read on your work, not a prediction, and not a guarantee. The dial does carry 0, 50 and 100 marks and a PASS marker — that is a scale to read the needle against, not a score; the reading you act on is the word.
What moves it
Accuracy, weighted by the exam's own blueprint. Getting the heavily-tested domains right counts for more, because it does on the day.
Recent work counts most. Your last stretch of answers dominates, so a strong week moves it and a long gap lets it drift.
Finished full-length mocks, blended in, with older mocks fading rather than marking you forever.
Not answers where you took a Steer hint, and not revealed questions.
Coverage — how much of the bank you have seen — does not move the word. It widens how confident the read is.
Why it starts locked
It needs two things before it says anything: around 25 graded answers, and evidence across most of the exam's domains. That many answers in one domain does not unlock it, because that would be a reading of one domain. While it is locked it tells you exactly how many more answers it needs.
The line underneath
Under the word you get your weakest area and which way it is moving — "accuracy up 4 pts lately". Weakest means where the most exam points are recoverable, not simply your lowest number, so it points at the domain worth your next hour.
Where the guarantee comes in
The retake side of the SurePass Guarantee asks for the meter at "Getting close" or above. The refund side does not look at the meter at all — it goes on mock scores alone. What each side asks for is set out in the Refund & SurePass Guarantee Policy.
